Sawgrass has introduced sublimation ink under the name ArTainium2^UV+. These high quality inks offer good value and are available for mimaki or roland printers.

Sawgrass has recently introduced new inks – Jet Black and Red & Blue Subijet IQ inks for 6 color production wide-format printers. These new inks offer expanded color gamut and fill color spaces the previous 4 color inks were unable to match.

In-house testing has shown that the new Jet Black ink offers a deeper and richer set of blacks. The increased color depth of the Jet Black inks are ideal for fabrics like sports apparel. The Red & Blue inks offer a set of brigther reds and truer blues, increasing the color gamut up to 30%.

Profiles for these new Sublijet ink sets are available with purchase of Sawgrass Sublijet Inks for Roland and Mimaki printers in combination with Wasatch SoftRip and our recommended heat transfer press paper.

Many customers have been inquiring about the New Epson 7800 and 9800 wide format printers. These printers will be available for general sale in the October of 05. Sawgrass is in the process of beta testing these printers and creating color profiles for their sublimation inks. As soon these printers are certified we will have them available. Prices are expected to be at or about the same price as the 9600.

Two of the most notable enhancements for these printers are faster print speeds (2x their predecessors per Epson’s testing results) and print head improvements (180 nozzles per channel).

With today’s faster print speeds like the Mimaki JV4, our customers have found the need for external dryers to quickly dry the dye sublimation ink as it exits the printer. We now carry a range of industrial inkjet dryers for this purpose. Our Press Release is also available.
